In 2011, Andy Seyfried and his daughter, Shana Seyfried Karn, set out on an adventure...The Second Knob Gifts & Antiques. Andy's extensive knowledge about antiques and collectibles and his collection of over 40 years and Shana's love of prim-country and farmhouse home decor, especially when combined with antiques, soon made The Second Knob a destination for home decor, gift and antique shoppers. The father-daughter store offered a warm welcome and incredible selection of gifts, home decor and antiques to locals and tourists alike. Most visitors were treated to lengthy conversations, great detail about the store and the history of antiques (mostly by Andy). Their partnership endured ten years, two locations, and a pandemic. In 2020, Shana lost her father unexpectedly and, while her world momentarily collapsed, it was with great determination and the help of her family and friends that she moved forward-- expanding the local brick and mortar store to include more local vendors, a vibrant website, Facebook Live Sales and an Etsy storefront. Additionally, Shana grew the Second Knob's consignment and estate sale services, contracting with Hi-Bid and Auction Flex to offer online auctions. Shana misses her Dad but she is pretty sure he is here with her, watching over her and always, always happy to see customers enjoy the store!
With over 2500 square feet featuring home decor and gift items in primitive, country, shabby chic and flea-market farmhouse styles as well as unique and affordable antiques and collectibles, the Second Knob is located in the heart of Dryden, in Central New York at 129 North Street.
